Soprano Aunika Bull places second in regional opera competition

Fresno State Vocal Performance major, Aunika Bull, competed Saturday, March 17, in Modesto Opera’s  Kristina Townsend Memorial Vocal Competition. She won second place in the 19-22 years old division against singers from across Central California.

Recently, Bull sang the role of Gretel alongside the Fresno State Symphony Orchestra in the Fresno State Opera Theatre’s production of Hansel and Gretel. She also performed her senior recital and plans to pursue her master’s degree in voice performance and has received several acceptances into programs from top schools across the country. Congratulations Aunika!

Bull is a soprano studying under Dr. Anthony Radford and has performed in five opera scene productions for the Fresno State Opera Theater. She was one of only five students selected last summer to participate in the CSU Summer Arts Romantic Lied in Trossingen, Germany.
