Fresno State’s commemoration of Human Rights Day at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, will feature Dolores Huerta, president of the Dolores Huerta Foundation, and Amanda Renteria, chief of operations for the California Department of Justice. The free, public event will be held at the North Gym (Room 118) with Huerta delivering a special message and Renteria delivering the keynote address.

Coro Piccolo, the chamber choir of Fresno Community Chorus, will present an intimate performance of Gerald Finzi’s “In Terra Pax” and other Christmas choral works at 2:30 and 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10, at St. Anne’s Chapel at San Joaquin Memorial High School (1406 N. Fresno St.). The tender “Shepherd’s Farwell” by Hector Berlioz is also on the program for the concert, which will be directed by Anna Hamre, artistic director for the Fresno Community Chorus.
