Ethics Center presents ‘Managing Envy’ by Christopher Sterling

Christopher Sterling on Managing Envy

The Leon S. Peters Ethics Lecture Series continues with a talk by Christopher Sterling, a Fresno State professor in the Craig School of Business Department of Management, at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, in the Alice Peters Auditorium, PB 191.

Sterling will discuss the role of envy in the workplace. Sterling’s research focuses on the challenge of dealing with emotions at work, including disruptive emotions such as envy.

“I’m expecting this to be an interesting event,” said Dr. Andrew Fiala, Ethics Center director. “And I’m hopeful we’ll get a diverse audience. Softs skills and social and emotional factors are a growing focus. Sterling’s research is focused on those issues.”

The series is presented by the Ethics Center in the College of Arts and Humanities and is cosponsored by the Lyles Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
