Command Performance: Celebration of U.S. Poet Laureate Juan Felipe Herrera

Chamber Singers in Washington DC

The Chamber Singers, in collaboration with Juan Felipe Herrera, will reprise the program from their recent trip to Washington, D.C., in a command performance at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9, in the Concert Hall.

While in Washington, D.C., the Chamber Singers, under the direction of Dr. Cari Earnhart, premiered several new compositions by music professors Dr. Kenneth Froelich and Dr. Benjamin Boone, setting Herrera’s poetry to music.

This concert is hosted by the Fresno State Department of Music and College of Arts and Humanities. Free tickets are available at the music office M134.  Seating is limited for this special performance. Advance tickets may be picked up in the Music Office (M134) between May 1 and May 9.
