Music Notes: Saxes at State April 3

The College of Arts and Humanities and the Department of Music present “Saxes at State,” featuring internationally acclaimed saxophonist Greg Banaszak at 8 p.m. Monday, April 3 in the Wahlberg Recital Hall.

“Saxes at State” will include a masterclass and performances by Fresno State saxophone majors. Banaszak will be accompanied by JoungMin Sur on piano.

Banaszak will perform a combination of both classical and jazz works, while the student performances will feature classical music. Three students will perform solo works with piano accompaniment by Sur.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for students to work with an internationally acclaimed saxophonist before they perform their senior recitals,” said Professor Alan Durst.

Tickets are $15 general, $10 for employees and seniors and $5 for students.
