Highlighting the voices and contributions of African-American military veterans, the “Unsung Heroes: Do You Know Who I Am?” exhibition will run Nov. 1 through 18 at the M Street Graduate Studios in downtown Fresno.
The mixed-media interactive exhibition also will be open from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 2, as part of ArtHop, the open house of galleries and studios in downtown Fresno and the Tower District held on the first Thursday of each month.
The award-winning Afghani photojournalist shared her story with a full house in the Peters Business Auditorium on Oct. 12. Her talk was followed by a reception in the Phebe Conley Art Gallery, where her photos are on display.
Artwork by Diego Gutierrez Monterrubio, a member of the Department of Art and Design faculty, will be on display from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, at the Consulate of Mexico in Fresno, 7435 N. Ingram Ave.

The Department of Art and Design presents “Curiosity,” artwork by recently retired faculty member Charles Shields in the Phebe Conley Art Gallery at Fresno State. Shields will give a talk from 4:30 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 14, with a reception to follow.
