Fresno State’s Department of Theatre and Dance offers five bachelor’s degree programs, many focusing on exciting performances and dynamic productions. However, the department’s Theatre Education degree option emphasizes theatre principles as tools to encourage creativity and embodied learning in education settings. This course, which also serves as a popular elective for liberal studies majors, teaches students how to leverage theatre in curriculum development and allows them to create greater access to theatre in their community through its service-learning component.
