Dispatches from London: Fresno State students study art and literature abroad

Students stand in front of "Basquiat being welcomed by the Metropolitan Police" by Banksy on the wall of the Barbican Centre.

While most students were off for their winter break, 36 Fresno State students traveled to England for the Arts and Humanities Study Abroad Experience: Bloomsbury Group, Art and Literature (AH105) or London Art and Empire (AH100TZ). Students get an authentic British experience and earn three units of credit as they take in the sights and culture of England. The program runs from Dec. 27, 2022, through Jan. 17, 2023.

During the trip, Professor of Art Nick Potter sent updates and pictures of the students’ experiences.

“Here are a few more photos of my ART100TZ class. One of them where they are standing in front of a Banksy artwork. Great students.”

Happy New Year! This is a really great group. They are sketching in their sketchbooks at every opportunity in museums and galleries.
