Fresno Writers Live with J.J. Anselmi

The Fresno State Creative Writing Alumni Chapter presents #FresnoWriters Live, a virtual reading to celebrate the new nonfiction book “Doomed to Fail: The Incredibly Loud History of Doom, Sludge, and Post-metal,” the second book from Fresno writer J.J. Anselmi.

Time: 7 to 8 p.m.
Date: Tuesday, August 11, 2020
Location: Zoom Room
Admission is $5, and advance registration is required.

All proceeds split 50/50 between the chapter and the author.

Books for sale in advance, from the author’s preferred bookseller.

J.J. Anselmi is the author of “Doomed to Fail: The Incredibly Loud History of Doom, Sludge, and Post-metal”; and “Heavy: A Memoir of Wyoming, BMX, Drugs, and Heavy Fucking Music,” which was also his  thesis manuscript for the Fresno State MFA Creative Writing Program. He lives in Long Beach, California, where he plays drums in Drainage, a sludgy metalcore band.
