International award-winning pianist Claire Huangci performs in keyboard concert series

First Prize winner of the 2018 Géza Anda International Piano Competition in Zürich, Claire Huangci, will perform works by Mozart, Chopin, Brahms, and Schubert at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 10 at the Fresno State Concert Hall as part of the Philip Lorenz International Keyboard Concerts. Tickets are $25 general, $18 seniors and $5 for students. Parking is free after 4 p.m on Friday in lot P1.

Huangci’s concert at Fresno State is part of her 2019/20 international tour. Just days after her Fresno performance, she will play dates in Umeå and Sundsvall, Sweden ahead of tour highlights such as the Lucerne Festival, Philharmonie de Paris, and Festspielhaus Salzburg.

Now 29-years-old, Huangci began her international career at age nine. She has since succeeded in establishing herself as a highly respected artist, captivating audiences with her “radiant virtuosity, artistic sensitivity, keen interactive sense and subtle auditory dramaturgy” (Salzburger Nachrichten).
