Fresno State Opera Theatre presents a free showing of children’s opera ‘Lucinda’

Lucinda y las Flores de la Nochebuena

A free on-campus performance of the children’s opera “Lucinda y las Flores de la Nochebuena” will be at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 7, at the Concert Hall. Parking is $5.

The opera that Fresno State commissioned, which was workshopped and performed in 2016, has been seen by thousands across the country after performances in San Francisco, South Carolina, and Texas. This will be the first time the opera has been performed on the Fresno State campus.

Sophomore Jillian Avila will play the role of Lucinda. Sophomore Aaleyah Wilson will play the mother, Chris Rodriguez will play “Everybody,” and Samuel Montgomery will play “Nobody.”
