Gandhi’s 150th birthday begins commemoration with exhibition of peace

The inauguration of an exhibition on the lives of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr., Daisaku Ikeda, and Cesar Chavez will mark the start of a series of events commemorating the 150th birthday of Gandhi at Fresno State.

The community is invited to the ceremony at 9 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 2 in the Henry Madden Library which will feature remarks by Fresno State President Joseph I. Castro.

Gandhi was born on October 2, 1869 in Porbandar, India.
