Fresno State and CSU Summer Arts will present an evening of readings with acclaimed authors Ryka Aoki and Daniel Olivas at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 6, at the John Wright Theatre. Tickets for this event can be purchased online or by visiting the box office near the John Wright Theatre. 

Aoki is well known for her magical realist writing, which incorporates elements of fantasy into stories of our everyday world. 

Olivas is best known for writing in the tradition of magical realism, but has garnered acclaim for his poetry and bilingual children’s book, “Benjamin and the Word.”
