The Associated Press Media Editors has selected Fresno State as one of four sites in the United States to host their NewsTrain conference in 2020.

NewsTrain is a low cost, touring workshop designed to provide training in digital skills, knowledge and information needed in a rapidly changing media setting to frontline editors, department heads, senior editors, reporters, copy editors, visual journalists, online producers working on multiple platforms, communications specialists, professors and students. Instructors will include accomplished journalists with both frontline and teaching experience.

The workshop cost will be $75. Those interested can sign up to be notified when dates, agendas and trainers are set for the workshop at Fresno State.

NewsTrain has served more than 7,500 journalists in their own cities since 2003.
