Concerto competition winner Anthony Perez-Medina to perform with Wind Orchestra

French horn student Anthony Perez-Medina will perform as a featured soloist with the Fresno State Wind Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Gary P. Gilroy at 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 2 in the Fresno State Concert Hall.


Tickets are $15 general, $10 employees and seniors, and $5 for students. Parking is $4 in lot P1.

Perez-Medina earned his place as a soloist after winning the Fresno State Concerto Competition in February. The graduating senior will perform Gordan Jacob’s “Concerto for Horn and Wind Ensemble.”

The event will also spotlight guest conductor Marco Mellone, a Fresno State master of music performance student and the director of bands at Clovis East High School, and feature the Bullard High School Wind Ensemble under the direction of Jose Cargill.
