Faculty Flute Recital on March 14

Flutes at Fresno State

Dr. Teresa Beaman, professor of Music at Fresno State, will present a Faculty Flute Recital as part of Flutes at Fresno State at 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, in the Wahlberg Recital Hall in the Music Building.

She will be assisted by horn professor, Dr. Thomas Hiebert, and three of his horn students: Samuel Kennedy, Anthony Perez and Andrew Vance. Dr. Beaman also will be performing with faculty member Lenore Voth Hiebert, on piano, and Ellie Choate, on harp.

Works by Franz Doppler and Paul Taffanel will be featured, as well as several new arrangements for flute and harp done by Choate of international and American folk songs. Additionally, the President’s Quintet will perform a special arrangement of “Simple Gifts” with Dr. Beaman.
