The Press and CCA publish catalog ‘Unsung Heroes: Do You Know Who I Am?’

New publication, "Unsung Heroes," published by CCA and The Press

The Press at California State University, Fresno, and the Center for Creativity and the Arts announce the publication of a new catalog “Unsung Heroes — Do You Know Who I Am?” on Feb. 9. This pictorial work is a companion to the recent “Unsung Hereos” exhibition, which was on display in November at M Street Graduate Studios in downtown Fresno.

Dr. Cindy Urrutia, director for the Center for Creativity and the Arts, wrote and oversaw the production of the catalog. The mixed-media exhibition and catalog highlight the service of Central Valley African-American Veterans. They celebrate the veterans’ accomplishments, family and community ties.

Lisa Daniels founded the Unsung Heroes Living History Project in 2000.

The exhibition was a collaboration between the Unsung Heroes Living History Project, Department of Art and Design, Center for Creativity and the Arts, Cross Cultural and Gender Center, Black Faculty and Staff Association, President’s Commission on Human Relations and Equity, TRIO Student Support Services Veterans and M Street Graduate Studios.

The catalog can be purchased for $10 on Amazon or through The Press by contacting Gail Freeman at 559.278.4103.
