Rediscover Tokyo: 2020 Olympics

Akira Ichioka, the director/consul at the Consulate-General of Japan in San Francisco, will give a presentation on Tokyo from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29, in the University Business Center at Fresno State, PB 191. A reception will follow the presentation.

The 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games will be a great opportunity for people around the world to rediscover Tokyo. The presentation will offer an in-depth look into Tokyo, a city with a unique blend of tradition and modernity, by introducing various aspects of its society, culture and history. The presentation will also inform the audience of the vision and the ongoing preparations for the Tokyo 2020 Games.

This program is sponsored by the College of Arts and Humanities, the Department of Linguistics and the Japanese Program.
