Fresno State welcomed its newest Bulldogs at the New Student Convocation in the Save Mart Center on Monday, Aug. 21. Our College’s Jes Therkelsen, an associate professor in the Department of Media, Communications and Journalism, gave the keynote address on the topic of curiosity.

Therkelsen and fellow MCJ professor Candace Egan were awarded the Spirit of Service award by Fresno State in May, recognizing exemplary commitment to community engagement.
