MCJ Showcase of Excellence set May 3

The Media, Communications and Journalism Showcase of Excellence from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 3 in North Gym (Room 118) on campus will honor the department’s students for their work this semester.

The event also includes the awarding of “Best of Show,” which will be voted on by the audience. An induction ceremony for Kappa Tau Alpha, the national journalism honor society, will precede the awards presentation.

The annual free, public event celebrates students from the department’s five options: advertising, public relations, broadcast journalism, print journalism and multimedia. Entries were judged by professionals in the respective categories.

Mass Communications and Journalism students Tristan Lewis, Bobby Falat and Janet Gutierrez will serve as emcees.
