Raul Reyes, Ricky Gutierrez, Carmen Chiu and Vanessa Valenzuela, students in the MCJ 118S class, were honored with the Volunteer Award at Cultiva La Salud’s 10-year anniversary celebration on April 12 at the Radisson Hotel in Fresno.

Cultiva La Salud is dedicated to creating health equity in the San Joaquin Valley by fostering changes in communities that support healthy eating and active living. The students honored worked with Cultiva La Salud on creating promotional videos for the organization

In the 118S class – Corporate and Nonprofit Media Projects – students study the planning, organization, and execution of media production techniques for informational and educational communications projects for corporations and nonprofits. This service-learning approach provides practical experience working in production teams with clients.
