Music Notes: Fresno State hornists in recital March 30

Fresno State Horn Ensemble

The Department of Music presents a recital of solo and ensemble French horn music performed by students of Thomas Hiebert and pianists Lenore Voth Hiebert and Joungmin Sur at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 30 in the Concert Hall at Fresno State.

Solo works of Corelli, O. Franz, Mozart, Piazzolla, Poulenc Purcell, Saint Saëns, L. Shaw, H. Simrock and R. Strauss will be performed.

ALSO:  The Fresno State Horn Ensemble will perform works of C. Hänsel, Mozart, Rossini, Menken, Stanford & Wagner.  A special arrangement of music from “The Avengers” will be performed with large horn ensemble and percussion.
