Noontime Concert Series continues with Chika Inoue and Mary Au March 17

The Henry Madden Library at Fresno State continues the eighth season of its Noontime Concert Series with a free, public performance by Chika Inoue (saxophone) and Mary Au (piano) at 12:10 p.m. FridayMarch 17, in the library’s Leon S. Peters Ellipse Gallery.

This event ties in to the library’s ongoing “9066: Japanese American Voices from the Inside” exhibition. The duo will perform “Japanese American Incarceration 1942-1946” and will feature the Madden Library’s 1876 Centennial Steinway grand piano.

Inoue is an alumni of Fresno State (2011), with a master’s in saxophone performance and teaches music and humanities at CSU Dominguez Hills.

Dr. Corey Whitehead of Fresno State’s Department of Music is the artistic director and coordinator for the Noontime Concert Series. Seating is limited. Parking is $3 with a day permit from a parking kiosk.
