Art and Design presents ‘Fresno Shorts’

Fresno Shorts Film Festival

The Art and Design Department‘s Animation/New Media Program presents a screening of “Fresno Shorts,” an animated film screening, at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, in Conley 101.

Students in the program chose which shorts to screen at the event, which they hope will become a recurring event, the Fresno Shorts Film Festival.

“Fresno Shorts” will feature 14 animated shorts of different styles. Professor Paula Durette said audiences should find “Seeker Wing,” by artist Iris Moore, captivating.

“She is a young emerging artist from British Columbia. Primarily a visual artist, she uses stop-motion animation to tell fantastical stories that turn an eye inward on the personal exploration of one’s self.”

The image below is an example of Moore’s artwork.

This event is free and open to the public.
