The 2024 College of Arts and Humanities Dean’s Medalists were named at the Arts in Motion event on Friday, April 19, at the Fresno State Concert Hall. Sofia James, who is receiving her B.A. in theatre arts with a design/technology emphasis, is the undergraduate Dean’s Medalist. Hermelinda Hernandez Monjaras, who is receiving her MFA in creative writing with an emphasis in poetry, is the graduate Dean’s Medalist.
Undergraduate Standard Bearers are Lillian Hammerstrom, with the Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures, who is receiving her B.A. in Spanish and political science with a minor in English and Taylor Carrillo, who is receiving her B.A. in pre-law philosophy and a minor in criminology.
Graduate Honorable Mentions go to Julia Araujo, who is receiving her M.A. in studio arts and Luis Granados Torres, who is receiving his M.A. in English literature.
