Fresno State Opera Theatre will present the comic opera "The Gondoliers" this weekend.

Fresno State Opera Theatre will present “The Gondoliers” by Gilbert and Sullivan this weekend. Performances will be at 8 p.m. Friday, April 20, and 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, in the Music Building‘s Wahlberg Hall. “The Gondoliers,” presented in English, is a comic opera.

Tickets on sale for KFSR Jazz and Wine Festival at University House

KFSR Radio, the nonprofit radio station housed on Fresno State’s campus, will host the KFSR Jazz and Wine Festival from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at the University House (4411 N. CineCulture presents "Electric Shadows" Feb. 23

CineCulture announces the lineup for the remainder of the spring semester. Most CineCulture screenings are at 5:30 p.m. on Fridays during the semester in the Peters Education Center Auditorium (5010 N. Woodrow Ave.) in the Student Recreation Center. All films screened on campus are free and open to the public. Parking is not enforced after 4 p.m. on Fridays.

Alumni News: Dean’s medalist becomes a linguistics professor across the globe

Dr. Jason Brown, a Fresno State alum, was awarded the graduate dean’s medal in 2002 while earning his master’s degree in linguistics. Now he is a professor at the University of Auckland and the head of the Linguistics Society of New Zealand.
