Fresno State professors Dr. Maria Briggs, soprano, and Dr. Peter Klimo, piano, received first prize in the Doug Davis international competition for their performance of the art song cycle “Family Portraits” by Doug Davis. The prestigious competition’s previous prize winners include soloists from top US and international music schools, including Harvard, New England, Cincinnati and others.
