Historic winter expedition highlighted in ‘Sierra Odyssey’ movie premiere

You’re invited to the film premiere of “Sierra Odyssey,” a documentary that chronicles the inspiring journey of local photographer and mountaineer Orland Bartholomew. The film sheds light on Bartholomew’s extraordinary feat – the first winter expedition of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in 1928-29.

“Sierra Odyssey” premieres at 3:30 p.m. Friday, February 9, at the Peter’s Education Center Auditorium, next to the Save Mart Center. Please RSVP here.

It’s an opportunity to witness a story of courage and perseverance and to appreciate the beauty and majesty of the Sierra Nevada Mountains through the lens of a trailblazer.
