Philanthropic support changes lives. It has a direct impact on the students and often can mean the difference between a student attending Fresno State or not, between students having the equipment and supplies they need or not, between having the means to conduct groundbreaking research or not. These little things add up to students getting the support they need to become the best versions of themselves. Students then graduate and have a lasting positive impact on our communities and our Valley.

Oct. 28 – Artful Discourse – Day of Giving special

What if, for less than the cost of going out to lunch, you could contribute to a fund that changes lives? That’s what Fresno State’s Day of Giving (DOG) is all about.

DOG is a 24-hour online fundraising campaign. For as little as $10, you can help support the College of Arts and Humanities at Fresno State.

Day of Giving is Thursday, Nov. 2.

Support Arts and Humanities on Day of Giving

It only takes three simple steps…

  1. Mark your calendar for Thursday, Nov. 2.
  2. On Nov. 2, visit dayofgiving.fresnostate.edu and donate as little as $10 to the College of Arts and Humanities.
  3. Share why you gave on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and help spread the word using #FresnoStateDOG

It’s that easy!

Make the most of your donation!

There are also challenges throughout the day to help us raise even more money! All we need is a little strategy.

7 a.m. – 9 a.m. – Alumni Participation Challenge

Calling all Bulldogs! If you are an alumni of Fresno State, this is your best time to donate.

It’s our College of Arts and Humanities selfie! Come out and show your Bulldog pride!

2 p.m. – 4 p.m. – Donor Participation Challenge

This is open to any supporter of Fresno State.

The Dean’s Council Annual Fund

When you give to the College of Arts and Humanities on Day of Giving, unless otherwise specified, you will be helping to support the Dean’s Council Annual Fund. Those funds are then equally dispersed into two areas:

  1. Dean’s Council Scholarship Endowment: Provides scholarships and student assistance.
  2. Dean’s Discretionary Fund: Provides curriculum enrichment, research and travel funding for students and faculty, technological and artistic support and funding for the unique and unexpected needs of the College.

The College of Arts and Humanities provides a diverse student population with the communication skills, humanistic values and cultural awareness that form the foundation of scholarship. The college offers intellectual and artistic programs that engage students and faculty and the community in collaboration, dialog and discovery. These programs help preserve, illuminate and nourish the arts and humanities for the campus and for the wider community.
