Fresno State’s Department of Music will present its annual faculty concert at 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, in the Concert Hall. This year’s concert will present a symphony orchestra comprising faculty members as principal players alongside selected students.

As we approach the end of the semester, we look back at what has been another eventful month in the College of Arts and Humanities. Here are the top 5 stories from the month of November.
We caught up with Fresno State Media, Communications and Journalism alumna, Ashley Taylor, for a Q&A. Taylor graduated from the MCJ Department in 2004 with an emphasis in print journalism and a minor in music. She was also a member of the Smittcamp Family Honors College.
Three years after completing her undergraduate work at Fresno State, she went on to become a news producer for KMPH here in the Valley. Taylor is now a news producer living in New York City where she currently produces Fox News Edge,
“Celebrating 30 Years of Clarinet” will celebrate the three decades of clarinet at Fresno State by showcasing one of the most prominent clarinet performer-teachers today – Mark Nuccio, principal clarinet of the Houston Symphony Orchestra and former New York Philharmonic acting principal clarinet, interim principal clarinet, associate principal clarinet and Eb clarinetist for 17 years.
Spanish and voice students took their learning outside of the traditional classroom and into Fresno State’s Concert Hall on Friday, for a cross-disciplinary lecture-recital that examined Mozart’s “Don Giovanni.”
