The “Media Communication and Culture in America” program was born out of many years of collaboration between Fresno State and Beijing Union University. The purpose of the visit was for the students to experience Fresno State, travel around California, and gain new perspectives on their future craft through a series of lectures.
The Fresno State College of Arts and Humanities is proud to announce two new Bachelor of Arts degrees. In the Theatre Arts department, has launched their B.A. in Dance and the Art and Design Department has started their B.A. in Art History.
Five graduate students from the Department of Linguistics; Zahra Alzebaidi, Jason Peed, John Simonian, Zach Metzler and Trevor Driscoll, presented their work at conferences this year ranging from Santa Barbara and Salt Lake City to Manchester, England and Montreal, Canada. Also, undergraduate linguistics student Julia Whelan is set to present this fall in Stockholm, Sweden.
While CSU Summer Arts Program wrapped up last weekend at Fresno State, several students are still in Germany where they are learning from world-famous opera singer Bo Skovhus as part of the Romantic Lied program in Germany.
